Complete Driveway and Front Garden Redesign in Barnoldswick
Complete redesign and overhaul of front garden and driveway at an old farmhouse in Barnoldswick.
For this project we needed to keep everything in harmony with the old farmhouse whilst making it look new and maintenance free. We took down part of the dry stone walling and rebuilt it to create one entrance and privacy.
On the driveway we excavated the existing driveway, dug down to a solid foundation and installed MOT type 1 sub base.
Around the perimeter of the driveway we installed natural stone cobble and granite sets, also creating a sleeping policeman at the entrance of the drive.
In the front garden area we cleared the existing gravel and bushes, replacing them with granite sets to create a quadrant perfect for a small table and chairs.
To break up the gravel in the centre of the front garden we installed artificial sleepers, laying them in a stepping stone formation to create a pathway. This last touch gave the front garden area that new and maintenance free look required by the client.
