Our customer wanted rid of the old grey concrete flags and wanted to install an extended bright patio to the rear and a new double driveway to the front of the property.

At the rear of the property they felt the patio area was too small, so we extended the area by digging into the sloped grass verges. We retained the perimeter with a double skin natural stone wall and Indian Stone Capping Stones. We followed this through to the patio and installed Autumn Brown Indian stone flags and continued these round the conservatory and down the side path.

For the double driveway, we installed traditional Tegula Block Paving around the perimeter of both drives and installed Acorn Channels in front of the garage to divert the surface water into the main drain. To stay consistent with the rear of the property, we installed more Indian Stone Flags on the front step and also created a front path that ran between the drives.

When it came to installing the tarmacadam, we laid a 20mm base coat, which we machine rolled and then installed 6mm HRT for the wearing course.
