Smart new fencing replaces hedge jungle
We were called in to help clear a forest of leylandii – a hedge gone mad – and replace with smart new fencing panels.
After felling the trees and clearing the shrubbery and existing fencing, new concrete fence posts were let into the ground to a depth of at least 24 inches (600 mm). The posts were encased in Postcrete and concrete base panels installed between the posts. Timber fencing panels were fitted on top of the concrete base panels.
The concrete base panels raise the timber panels off the ground, where they would have been more susceptible to damp and rot, increasing the life of the fence.
